High School and Jr. High celebrate and dominate Homecoming games

When the games started to matter as the Chester County Eagles Football played against South Side in their first district game, they conquered the football field and shutout the Hawks 27-0. To make the win even sweeter, this first, major win for the Eagles Football team was accomplished on homecoming night.
Head Coach Dewond Johnson mentioned how he was proud of how his defense shutdown South Side.
“All week we talked about finishing and playing great defense. We always been able to score points, but we gotta start playing great defense and I think our guys are starting to buy in and make some changes. They did a great job,” he said.
This Friday is another district matchup against South Gibson at South Gibson. South Gibson’s overall record is 3-2 and their district record is 0-1 after a loss against Hardin County in early September, 48-14.
