Honoring the Stars and Stripes in Chester County

On Monday, June 14, Chester County residents honored the American Flag with the Henderson, TN Post 157 – American Legion. During the ceremony, the American Legion and Boy Scout Troop 25 presented the folding of the flag (13 Folds) and the proper way of retiring the American flag by burning them. Paul Martin of the American Legion also shared the history of the U.S. Flag Code. Songs “It’s a Grand Old Flag” and “Ragged Old Flag” were played as well. Pictured are boy scouts Braxton and Brooks Johnson following a demonstration of the folding of the 13 Folds of the American Flag.
