The Henderson Police Department along with the citizens we serve, are currently adapting to the fast moving and changing orders and protocols unleashed upon us by the Covid-19 Pandemic. We are currently in a Federal, State, and Local State of Emergency, and Governor Bill Lee has issued Executive Order’s 17,21, and 22. They include Shelter in Place Guidelines and the closing of non-essential businesses.
The Henderson Police Department is task with the difficult duty of enforcement of these orders. The Police Department has no desire or do we even anticipate having to cite any business’s for non-compliance. Thus far we have only had to address very few issues, and each time we were met by very understanding business owners and employees. The Police Department is and will continue to work hard with local business to assist them in any legal way to be able to conduct business.
The Henderson Police Departments commitment now, as always is the safety and wellbeing of the citizens of Henderson and to those who shop and interact inside the City Limits. We strongly encourage everyone to abide by the Shelter in Place Guidelines.
