It is once again pet calendar time at the Chester County Independent, when the age-old question is finally settled – who is the cutest pet of all? Vote for your favorites and the top 12 pets will be featured in the 2022 Tails of Chester County calendar. The grand prize winner will also receive a gift basket with items for both pet and owner.
The contest is not just limited to furry pets – cats, dogs, hamsters, goldfish, lizards, birds, snakes, goats and other pets are all welcome to enter the competition.
Fame and prizes are not the best thing about this contest; proceeds will benefit local animal rescues.
“We’re looking forward to this pet calendar contest because it’s a great way to help raise money for our local rescues,” said Independent publisher Scott Whaley. “A portion of the proceeds from the contest will be split between the City of Henderson Animal Control, Loving Paws and Funny Farm Rescue Ranch. We’re so excited to be able to partner with these organizations and give back.”
Voting begins today, Thursday, Nov, 11, and continues through Dec. 17. Pets can be entered in the contest and also voted for at gogophotocontest.com/chestercountyindependent. Each photo entry costs $10. Votes are $1 each.
Winners will be announced in The Independent in early January. Calendars featuring the winners will be distributed free in subscribers’ copies and will also be available at the paper office for $5.
“Don’t wait – five weeks go by very quickly, and we wouldn’t want you to miss your chance to pick our county’s cutest pet,” Whaley added.
