The CCJHS Eagle football team has had an outstanding season so far. Thursday night was Homecoming, and the Eagles looked forward to carrying on their momentum with a victory over Lewis County Panthers. However, the Eagles kept in mind that you play this game with humility, or it will humiliate you. Following the crowning of the Homecoming royalty, the Eagles took to the field with a roar of applause from the fans. The touchdowns came quick, but so did the hits from Lewis County. The outstanding defense had their work cut out for them as the Panthers came dangerously close to scoring mere minutes into the game. Zach Gates, along with the rest of the unstoppable and unshakeable defense, held the Panthers at the 20 yard line, and that was as close as the Panthers got the rest of the game. The Eagles carried it away with a 30-0 victory.
