Letter To The Editor: Honor – Respect – Thankful

Dear Editor,
Independence Day, July 4, is the birthday of our Nation, marking the anniversary of its Freedom. July 4, 1776 was the day when the Second Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence and declared that the American colonies were free and independent states.
Also, our National Anthem is the official, patriotic song of our Nation. We as Americans should show patriotism and loyalty to our flag and our National Anthem. They deserve our respect, as we are a Free Country.
The Star-Spangled Banner, written by Francis Scott Key in 1814, is performed at official and ceremonial public occasions, international gatherings, athletic events, in honor of the head of state and especially to honor our national heroes and those who gave their lives so we may be free in our country.
Chester County families are so thankful to see 2020 graduates have their great day after 12 years of working hard to achieve their goal. We are thankful for a great speech from Dr. Ricky Catlett to the Class of 2020. Graduates were told to be a great influence to others. How true it is that one word can help someone, and we are thankful for the two students who opened and closed with prayer. It came from their hearts.
God Bless 2020.
Sincerely,
Imogene Naylor
