Recently, the Chester County Lions Club recognized two students from the community. At the September 19 meeting, Lane Estes was recognized as The Dr. Ronald Johnson Student of the Month for his academic and athletic excellence. Lane is an eighth grader at Chester County Junior High School and is the son of Jonathan and Ashley Estes. During the October 3 meeting, Chester County High School senior Mason Burns was honored as the October Student of the Month. Mason is the son of Russell and Chasity Burns. He studies welding and business, and he helped create the welding art sculptures located in our community. Both young men are appreciated for their motivation and dedication to excellence and friendship.
The CC Lions Club also inducted two new members at the October 3 meeting. William Baldy and Jonathan Estes were inducted by Lion Mark Barber. The organization is proud to welcome these new members into our ranks. The club also thanks all the community who supported the Rise and Swine breakfast during the BBQ Festival. Proceeds will be used in our local community.
