Lions in sixth after opening round

In their final regular season tournament, the Freed-Hardeman University Lions finished their first round of the Missouri Baptist Spring Invitational. FHU finished with 309 (+21) to land in sixth place.
EJ Hill had the best round for the maroon and white, scoring 74 (+2) in the first 18 holes to sit in a tie for sixth place. Hill dropped a birdie on the par-4 11th hole while finishing one under on the par-5 15th hole.
Tyler Rhodes and Austin Warren shared a portion of 26th place with 78 (+6). Rhodes carded birdies on the par-4 13th hold and the par-3 16th, while Warren tallied 13 pars.
Ben Sebilian scored 79 (+7) to tie for 32nd place. Sebilian collected a birdie on the par-5 fifth and par-4 14th. Cash Piatt rounded off the Lion team effort with 82 (+10) to tie for 45th place after a birdie on the par-4 11th.
Competing as an individual, Gabe Matherley joined EJ Hill with FHU’s best score, tying for 6th place with 74 (+2). While not dropping a birdie, Matherley shot par on 16 holes. Braden Riddle finished in 20th place, shooting 77 (+5) with a pair of par-4 birdies.
