Liz’s BBQ owner, Mary Elizabeth Kinchen, dies

MARY ELIZABETH “LIZ” KINCHEN

Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Kinchen, age 83, passed away Saturday evening November 19, 2022, at Jackson General Hospital.
Mrs. Kinchen was born in Chester County May 30, 1939, the daughter on the late TJ and Mary Margarett Graves Arnold. She married WC ‘Ike” Kinchen in 1974 and they made their home in the Plainview Community. They owned and operated Liz’s Bar-B-Que on South Church Street in Henderson for over 20 years. She was a member of the Pinson Ruritans and attended the Pinson Church of Christ.
She is survived by three sons; Ralph Bullman and wife Sandra of Jacks Creek, R. M. Mobley (Patsy Smith) of Finger, George Allen Bullman and wife Perseveranda of Henderson, two brothers; Harmon Arnold of Pinson and Anthony Arnold of Thompson Station, two sisters; Verlyn Mobley of Spring Hill and Shelia Evans of College Grove; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Ike in 2018, a son Jerry Paul Bullman; a daughter Margaret Annette Bullman; a sister Francis Young and a great grandchild Morgan Mobley.
Funeral services were Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Crook Avenue Chapel with Ben Flatt officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetlips Cemetery.
