As of Monday, Nov. 15, a total of 3,557 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported in Chester County since the beginning of the pandemic in early 2020. This is approximately 34 new cases for the month of November thus far. Of the total cases, 25 were currently active, which is the same number of active cases since the end of October. “Active” cases are determined by the amount of time which has lapsed since diagnosis. At 14 days out from a positive test, cases are considered inactive or recovered, with the exception of those resulting in death, and sometimes seem to cause a discrepancy between “total cases” and “active” cases. The number of inactive or recovered cases is 3,456. Total COVID-related deaths in the county have increased by one in recent weeks to 76. The county also reports 36.87% of local residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination with 33.51% having received both doses or series completion.
Tennessee reports a total of 1,297,472 cases statewide with 1,268,667 recorded as inactive or recovered and 16,683 deaths related to the coronavirus.
Tennessee Department of Health shows 54.8% of Tennesseans have received at least one dose of a vaccination regiment, and 48.8% of Tennesseans are fully vaccinated.
