Between Henderson and Chester County, local governments will be receiving $5.05 million in COVID relief.
Henderson will be receiving 1.7 million while Chester County will be receiving 3.35 million.
According to Henderson Mayor Bobby King, the funds may not arrive for another 90 days. He said that there are many details concerning how governments can and cannot spend the funds, which have not yet been released.
When Henderson does receive the money though, King said that the city will be transparent with how the money is spent and allow for people to voice their opinions.
Even after they release the cans and cannots of how the money may be spent, King said that Henderson will still get approval from the comptroller on each project for which they intend to use the money.
