City meets tonight
The City of Henderson Mayor and Board of Aldermen are scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, April 11, 2024, in the Council Chamber of the Henderson City Hall.
Bart Hunt will address the board, requesting permission to build another structure on his Magic Valley lot.
The board will discuss adoption of a resolution approving the TIF agreements on the W. Main Street hotel project. They will consider approval of bids received for playground equipment for Keestone Academy. This project is funded through a CDBG child care grant and requires no local funds.
In addition, the board will consider purchase and installation of a cart tipper for a garbage truck at a cost of $7,800 and the purchase of two gear drives for the lagoon aerators by the utility department.
The next budget meeting will be announced to begin at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024.
School Board meets tonight
The Chester County Board of Education is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the Chester County Board of Education Conference Room.
In addition to the spotlight/celebration, delegations, updates and public comments on actionable agenda items, the board will hear recommendations to revise CCBOE policies 4.6.2 and 6.310. The board will also discuss “out-of-county” tuition rates for the 2024-2025 school year and will recognize Comprehensive Educational Resources (CER) committee members from Chester County Schools.
The next school board meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Jacks Creek Elementary School.
