School is back in session for the 2022-23 year. Praying for this to be a better year for teachers and students.
I am not sure what most people are thinking about our world at this point, but it certainly has changed over the years, and I can not say it is for the better. We definitely need to get back to some basics and realize who created our world and us and learn to respect that idea once again and live the way the Bible directs us to.
Congratulations and Best Wishes to Delana Bailey on her retirement from Southwest Electric. Her smiles and kindness at that office will be greatly missed by many but praying her days are blessed in many ways, and I know she will be enjoying more family time.
The Big Country Breakfast and Bake Sale will be held at the Community Center from 7-10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20. Come on out and enjoy homemade biscuits, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, juice or milk all for $7 per plate. Bake sale items are donated and priced accordingly.
We need more community involvement to work on our center and help us to revive it some. Please contact Ann Moore if you can offer a hand at any task we have at 608-2033. Our center is available for rent and you can contact Betty Cooper at 879-9078 for price and availability of the community center.
Montezuma sends out happy birthday wishes to Thomas Leach and Thomas Sills on Aug. 6, Lee Trice and Carrie Stewart on Aug. 9, Kurt Larson on Aug. 10, Beverly Morrison and Jesse Blake Emerson on Aug. 11. Montezuma sends out happy anniversary wishes to Elmer and Susan Maness on Aug. 3 and Mike and Sandra Lott on Aug. 8.
With so much unrest in our country, I pray that each of you believers will be praying continually for our government and salvation for the lost. Please pray for Paul Schilling, Lisa Bishop, Kolby Cunningham, Jennifer Paton, Imogene Naylor, Dwight Rhodes, Lill Emerson, Samantha Stark, Nancy Crouse, Martha Cooper, Jake Richardson, Ashley Pugh, Faye Morrison, Ann Morrison, Faye Crouse, Ed Morris, Healthcare Workers and Law Enforcement. We especially want to remember the families of Sharon Clayton Henson and other families that have recently lost loved ones. May God provide healing to those that are sick and wisdom to those that may need it for life decisions.
Wishing a very blessed week to all you readers!
