Ho, ho, ho to all! The temperature on Sunday was 67 degrees, and the skies were a bluish-gray. We had rain in the afternoon that continued through most of the night and some of Monday. Hope you held onto your hats! The weather for this week is a mixed bag of temperatures and rain. It is like a rollercoaster – hold on tight!
We went to see the Motown Christmas Friday night at Williams auditorium. The music was fantastic, and there was very good attendance. Thanks to Shane Connor and his efforts to bring entertainment to our town. Jackson does not even have much available except during the summer at the Farmer’s Market. I hope people will continue to support his efforts, and it does bring business to the town. Thanks to Brandon for doing the lighting. It would be a great benefit if there were handrails on the steps entering the auditorium end. It really needs three rails at the steps, one at each end and the center. There are elderly and disabled people attending these events, and for one reason or another, both legs do not always work together, and many do not have anyone to assist them. We would certainly appreciate the attempts at entertaining this request; maybe some of the government money could be used toward this small project.
We had a good service at Friendship Baptist Sunday morning. Bro. Bryan McMorris filled in for Bro. Glenn. We are blessed that Bro. Bryan is also our music director and plays the guitar and piano. He is multitalented. Praise the Lord. He and his wife Donna are working with us on the Christmas program that will be at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 19, with a potluck meal to follow. All are invited.

Please say a prayer for those; even if you do not know their name, God does. Prayer is not an obligation; it is the greatest privilege we have. Pray yourself through each day.
