The Chester County spring athletics are all having strong seasons, and as we near the end of the school year, we begin to move into postseasons for these teams. Tennis has had one of the most incredible seasons of any Chester County High School team. After the boys going undefeated in the regular season, and girls only taking one loss, they continued their dominant streak in Districts against Northside with two wins. Coaches Mike Showers and Debbie Hames will lead their teams to their games against rival Lexington on May 5. Baseball is moving on to the district tournament after a successful season with a good mix of seniors and younger players. Coach Mike Goff is proud of the effort his team put in this season. Following their win over Southside, the Eagles sit at 8-14 with the goal of gaining momentum in the tournament. Softball is also moving on to postseason play with a very successful regular season in which their younger players got plenty of experience for the future and their seniors had strong seasons. Coach Brandon Pipkin has worked his team hard in preparation for the end of the season. After an incredible senior night against a strong Adamsville team, Boys’ Soccer will be moving on to postseason play. The 1-0 win over the Cardinals showed a strong defensive effort. Coach Bobby Helton has led his team to one of the best seasons they have ever had, with only three seniors on the roster.
