This week’s spotlight is the Chester County Marching Band. The seniors are Talayeah Arnold, Brenna Baughman, Matt Miller, Ben Jones, Robby Novak, Matthew Mutter, Breaunna Long, Krista Watson, and Kayla Hargis. Every football game, they are there and are ready to show their school spirit and support our team.
They attended the Hendersonville Golden Invitational Marching Band Contest, taking third in their class, and 4th place overall in their division, with the color guard receiving a best in class award. They even scored higher than a number of bands in the division above them! They have more competitions scheduled during October and early November.
Mr. Montgomery had this to say about the band and their year so far: “Our students are absolutely incredible. They’ve overcome quarantines and competitions being cancelled last minute, and their effort has been inspiring. I can’t say enough how proud of all of them I am.”
Congratulations to the band and the color guard for your hard work. We are looking forward to seeing the band at the next football game.
Fall break is fast approaching and homecoming to follow. Look for more information and updates soon.
As always, I want to thank Henderson and Chester County for their continued support of CCHS.
God Bless and Go Eagles!
