Christmas Break will be Dec. 23-Jan. 3. Dec. 20 will be an abbreviated day for students (8-11 a.m.). Jan. 6, 2020 will be the first day back to school for students in the New Year.
Jackson State Community College will be on campus for Spring 2020 Dual Enrollment sign-ups from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11. This is a come and go sign-up. This is only for students who will be taking courses other than English Comp II, American History II or Medical Terminology. Students taking these three classes do not need to come and register as JSCC will already have a roster for these classes.
Every Friday during the month of December, students can wear a Christmas T-shirt or Christmas sweater with dress code pants.
Juniors will take the ACT on Thursday, Dec. 12.
All students, please be certain to fill out the FAFSA. Contact Mrs. Lisa Carson if there are any questions.
There will be a mandatory meeting for all those participating in the TN Promise at 5:30 p.m. March 16, 2020.
The website to order yearbooks is www.yearbookforever.com, or we will accept cash or checks at school. The price increases after Christmas, so be sure to purchase before the break! The current cost is $80.
Lend a helping hand within your community by participating in the Annual Angel Tree. See a Student Council Member in the library during your lunch shift for more information. The class that has the most participation gets a jean and crazy Christmas sweater day!
There will be a basketball game at Jackson Christian School Friday, Dec. 13. On Saturday, the FCA Classic at Jackson State will be held for girls at 2:30 p.m. with boys following.
