Things are gearing up for Homecoming 2022 at CCHS. Our homecoming game is Friday, September 23 versus Obion Central. Our homecoming week begins Monday, September 19 with activities and events planned for the students and staff. Dress up days are: Monday, Jersey Day; Tuesday, Future You Day; Wednesday, Country v/s Country Club Day; Thursday, Class T-Shirt or Adam Sandler Day; Friday, Blue and White Day.
Monday night will be hall decorating, 4 – 10 p.m. This is when classmates come together to decorate their specific hallway with the theme they have selected. It is always a crazy night but the reveal on Tuesday morning is nothing short of amazing. CCHS Student Council will host a “Movie on the Lawn” Tuesday night. This will begin at 7:30 p.m. on the front lawn of the high school. Thursday we will have our homecoming parade. We will start around 10 a.m. Beginning at the high school, we will pass behind the middle school and in front of East Chester. We drive toward the junior high and will turn around through the CCJHS front parking lot, heading down Main Street through downtown. We invite everyone to come and join us on the parade route that morning. Thursday night will be our bonfire on campus beside the vocational building. This begins at 8 p.m. Friday afternoon we will have our powder puff football games in the stadium. Freshmen will play Juniors. Sophomores will play Seniors and the winner of those two games will compete for the championship. Our pep rally will end our day preparing us for our homecoming game that night. The homecoming festivities will be pregame with the presentation of the class representatives and our homecoming queen. It is always a hectic week at the high school but a great celebration all week. We are looking forward to the week and hope to see you on the parade route and/or at the game Friday night.
I would also like to continue to thank the City of Henderson and Chester County for their continued support of us here at CCHS.
God Bless and Go Eagles!
