This past week, the Chester County Eagles racked up two huge district wins against the McNairy Bobcats on Tuesday, January 24, and the Hardin County Tigers on Friday, January 27. Also this week, Eaglette Guard Jariyah Williamson was recognized for scoring 1000 career points during her time on the team. She was honored on Friday night for her outstanding achievement. The teams will continue district play when they square up against the Lexington Tigers and the McNairy Bobcats this week. Both of these games will be away. They will return home next week.
Along with the topic of basketball, the district tournament will be held here at CCHS as well as regional play as well. The District Tournament will be held on February 17, 18, 20, and 21. After districts end, then regionals begin. The Regional Tournament will be held from February 24 through March 2. The games on February 24 and 25 will not be played at Chester County. These first-round games are played at higher-seed locations. But, the final 4 will be played at Chester County. We will not know where the Eagles will play until after the first round of the district tournament. Be looking for more updates and information on that as we get closer to the time.
I want to continue to thank the City of Henderson and Chester County for their continued support of us here at CCHS.
God Bless and Go Eagles!
