The junior class took the ACT this past Tuesday at the high school. If you do not know the ACT, it stands for “American College Test.” The ACT is an “entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. It is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test.” It tests students over four main subjects: English, Math, Reading, and Science.
While the Juniors were taking the ACT, the seniors had the opportunity to go out and use that day as a job shadow/college day. What this means is that Seniors could go out and work with someone who specializes in whatever field they may be interested in. If they were not job shadowing, the seniors could have used this day to go possibly tour a certain college that they are interested in attending.
In other news, the newest members of the CCHS Beta Club were inducted this past week. The Beta Club is a club that “promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.” In order to get invited into the club, students must have a cumulative gpa of at least 92.5 and have no major disciplinary issues. It is used to set an example for everyone.
I want to continue to thank the city of Henderson and Chester County for their continued support of us here at CCHS.
God Bless and Go Eagles!
