Students and teachers have been spoiled with snacks from PTS during TCAP testing. Last Friday, the students were surprised with free ice cream at lunch! We are very thankful for those yummy treats and that those two weeks are behind us!
Ms. Jenni Crumby was the Teacher of the Month for April. She is new to Chester County Middle School and is fitting in nicely to our work family.
It is MAY! How in the world did we get to this point so quickly?! With less than four weeks left of school, CCMS will be buzzing with events and activities all the while teachers are finishing up their planned lessons.
Career Day will be Thursday, May 4. Mrs. Kelley Hickman does a wonderful job coordinating this day with parents and community members who have various careers. Students are able to learn about different careers and ask questions from the experts.
Field Day will be Friday, May 5. Coach Goff is planning and creating a fun-filled day for the students. If it rains, it will be postponed.
Fifth grade students will visit the junior high on May 8. They will have the opportunity to tour the sixth grade classrooms and ask questions to students and the sixth grade teachers. That evening, at 6 p.m., parents will be able to go to take a school tour, get information about classes, clubs and sports and learn about their brand new innovative school model status.
Permission slips have been sent home for students to be able to attend the annual Ag Day which is sponsored by our local 4-H agency. Students always enjoy this day.
For Parents who need to plan a day off, the last full day of school is Tuesday, May 23. Classroom awards will be given out at 9 a.m. Homeroom teachers will be sending more information about this later.
ONLINE REGISTRATION = EVERYONE MUST DO THIS IN ORDER TO ATTEND CHESTER COUNTY SCHOOLS NEXT YEAR! Do not forget that you will need to go on-line and register your child for the next school year. We have several who still need to complete the process. This is a requirement for all students who will be attending Chester County Schools. If you need assistance, please call the school office at 989-8110.
