Hello from Enville! I hope you all had a wonderful week. We got some much needed rain over the weekend. We also got some unexpected storms with power outages in several counties. The good news is there was not much damage to homes or any injuries.
School started this week. With a couple of full days behind them, I hope everyone is adjusting well to their new teachers and finding their rooms okay. I pray they all have a fun and safe year!
Do not forget to mark your calendars for Aug. 28. The Enville Community Club and Fire Department will have our Enville Wild Goose Shindig with barbeque pork, chicken, bologna, hamburgers, hotdogs, ice cream, silent auction, cakewalk and music/dance featuring The Bo Jack Band. The activities are 4-9 p.m. Come out and enjoy the food, fun and fellowship!
Please pray for the family of Ann Archibald family and for Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Doris Weeks, Florence Stublaski, Linda Phillips Johnson and Robert Johnson, Genny Sue Martin, Tim Hampton, Jimmy Robertson, Tim Harris, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Roger Henson, Mitch Maness, Roy Middleton, Jo Marie Holmes, all who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers and military, those fighting the COVID and, as always, each other.
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Wanda Finley on Aug. 6, Rickey Essary on Aug. 11 and Dylan Johnston on Aug. 12. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
It is so sad to see many businesses having to close their dining rooms or cut their hours, due to shortage of workers. If you or anyone is looking for a job, there are plenty out there. Almost every door says they are hiring. I pray this problem resolves itself, and everyone gets back to work soon and businesses can resume business as they once knew it!
If any of you Envillians have any news you would like to share, birthdays to add to the list or prayer requests, please call me at 688-5129, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125. Have a blessed week everyone!
