Hello again from Deanburg! Well, it is almost October, and Christmas is closer than you think! It has been a beautiful cooler week, but I have not been able to enjoy it. I came down (and I mean down) with COVID last Monday. Still not feeling good but have not had fever since Friday, so I am on the mend. And I had the vaccine!
Happy birthday to these: Hunter Collins on Oct. 1, Reece Collins on Oct. 3, and Allyson Enfinger on Oct. 5, and happy birthday in heaven this year to Eloise Murley.
May you all have a great day! On our prayer list is Kristen Carlton Jones, Woodie Deming, home bound patient and Joyce Stewart who is in Henderson Health and Rehab.
Remember our law enforcement, first responders, county and state government, our military and our great nation. Our sincere condolences go out to the Gary Carlton family. Kristen Carlton Jones and Cole are his children. He passed away on Sept. 20, and the funeral was on Sept. 21. We are very sorry for your loss.
Our devotion: “We Are His” – “”For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.’ (NLT) (Acts 17:28)
“God tenderly reminds us that we are children too! We are His children. There are few things in this life that are more comforting in a season of difficulty than being in the presence of your parents. A mother’s hug can be one of the most restorative actions this world offers and that is exactly what God says He is for us! He’s our Father, our Safe Place, Refuge, Comforter, Wisdom-Giver, and Rest when we hit those moments where we just can’t anymore.” Download this app to get your daily devotions: http://www.jctrois.com/dailybibledevotion/devotion.html?devo=9G1op9h76F
Quotes: “When things go wrong, don’t go with them.” -Elvis Presley

Have a great week and keep smiling!
