Hello from Deanburg, the best little corner of Chester County!
I hope everyone had a blessed two weeks since you have heard from me.
I have some belated birthday wishes from last week: Gareet Romereo on Feb. 14, Terry Hopper on Feb. 15 and Norma Tully on Feb. 18. This week, we want to say happy birthday to Kimba Harris and Joey Lillard on Feb. 24. May your blessings always exceed your age. Enjoy your birthday, and may you have many more to come.
Our sincere condolences to Ms. Gaynell Cleek Dees’ family – Norma and Thomas, Jr. and all family, including brothers Jean and Jerry Cleek. We are saddened at the loss of this precious lady. The Dees family lived in the house where Deanburg Baptist is today. When we were all growing up, Norma and Sylvia, my sister and Janice Harris were the same age and were good friends. Our prayers are with you and all the ones that have lost loved ones.
Quote of the week: “Your dreams come true when you act to turn them into realities. As Steven Spielberg said, ‘Dreams are essential, you can’t do it unless you imagine it.’ This is why every single development guru suggests that you should dream more, dream bigger. The only way for you to see the bigger picture is if you first to dream that you can do it. After that, it’s just showtime.” He has some good points on how to do that at Wishes Quotes.com (Fifty dream quotes and sayings and tips to reach your dreams).
These community neighbors and friends need our prayers: Kristen Carlton Jones, Tim Landers, Brianna Landers, Gary Hyatt, Carolyn Brasfield, Jim Ruth, Eloise Murley, Samantha Mosier, Woodie Deming, Betty Quarles, Ms. June Davis, Johnny Roach and his son Johnny, Jr. Please reach out to our shut-ins and nursing home folks. Also, pray for our country and its leaders, our military, our law enforcement and our first responders. Galatians 6:2 – “Carry each other’s burdens and in this way will fulfill the law of Christ.”
Remember our community club building, located at 385 Deanburg Rd. off Hwy. 100 west of Chickasaw, for your special events. We have a very nice large building and have a furnished kitchen with nice comfortable chairs and tables. There is a pavilion outside and playground for children. Call Judy Loftis to schedule. Her number is 989-5823.
Have a blessed and happy week ahead. Call me PLEASE with your events you want to share along with birthdays, anniversaries, birth announcements, etc.
