Hello folks!
Hope you are wearing those masks and staying in as much as possible. Tennessee is still having new cases of COVID-19. I had the test at Fast Pace last week to see if I have had it. Just curious since I was so sick in March, and that test came back negative.
I hope all mothers had a good day with family. God bless those dear mothers in the nursing home that did not have any visitors. I wanted to visit Ms. June Davis, but, of course, I could not. If you read this, sweetheart, just know I am missing seeing you and hope you are doing well.

I am so proud of our high school graduates, and to celebrate the ones at our church, Bethel Baptist, about a dozen cars full of us met Saturday at First Methodist Church in Henderson and decorated our cars. Thanks to Cindy Anderson for supplying the goodies. Robert Greene led our parade in his pretty, old, green truck, stopping to give them a package of things from all of us. One of the graduates, Chloe Perkins, worked in town near the church so she was our first stop when she was getting off work. We were disturbing the peace, blowing our horns and yelling. Then we drove on to Jacob Scott’s home; from there, we went to Lake Escue and finally made it to Silerton to Austin Warren. I think they were surprised and a little overwhelmed. Since their graduation activities have been taken away by the virus precautions, they deserved to be recognized. We wish all graduates the very best future and life of serving Christ.
Our devotion this week is for mothers since I forgot to mention Mother’s Day last week. God’s Blueprint for This Moment: “‘So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.’ – Matthew 6:34. The battle always has to be fought before the victory is won, though many people think they must have the victory before the battle. The conflict with worry and fear is almost always there – each person must overcome or be overcome. But we must fight each battle of our lives in the strength of Jesus’ victory. He said, ‘As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.’ (John 20:21 NIV). We are to be like Jesus – One of whom Satan is afraid! When we worry, we are carrying tomorrow’s load with today’s strength; carrying two days in one. We are moving into tomorrow ahead of time. There is just one day in the calendar of action – today. The Holy Spirit does not give a clear blueprint of our whole lives, but only on the moments, one by one. We all have the same enemies – we are all preyed upon by frustration and worry. In India, Australia, Japan, Germany – we need the same Holy Spirit. We need to remember that we are children of God, living within His constant care. God knows and is interested both in the hardest problems we face and the tiniest details that concern us. He knows how to put everything in place, like a jigsaw puzzle, to make a beautiful picture.”
