I hope everyone had a great weekend.
Ms. June Davis, 95, one of our sweet Deanburg ladies, passed away last week. Her funeral was at Casey Funeral Home with burial in Pleasant Springs United Methodist Church. She had been a member of Bethel Baptist since she was 11 years old. She was very devoted to her church and her Lord! She has been in the nursing home for several years, and I have not gotten to see her since they have stopped having visitation because of the COVID-19 virus. I sure have missed visiting with her and will continue to miss her. Our sincere condolences to her son Rich Davis of Memphis, her two grandsons, and her brother Horace (Evelyn) Bell from LaVergne.
Christina and Ethan Long welcomed a baby girl, Zoey Jade Long, on July 2, 2020. She weighed eight pounds, three ounces. Zoey was also welcomed by big brother, Shiloh Elijah Long. Grandparents are Buddy and Beverley Collins and Lottie and Ray Lamport. Great-grandparents are Brenda and the late Winfred Collins and Joe and Mary Dell Gilchrist. Great-great-grandmother is Anita Fish.
