Hello from hot Deanburg! I hope everyone is taking precautions to stay hydrated and well. I recently found an article that gives suggestions for staying cool and hydrated. Some of the precautions suggested are: stay indoors and in an air-conditioned environment; drink plenty of fluids, but avoid beverages that contain alcohol, caffeine or a lot of sugar; make sure pets have plenty of water; cover windows that receive morning or afternoon sun; take frequent breaks when working outdoors; at first signs of heat illness (dizziness, nausea, headaches, muscle cramps), move to a cooler location, rest for a few minutes and slowly drink a cool beverage. Seek medical attention immediately if you do not feel better; and if air conditioning is not available, stay on the lowest floor out of the sunshine. You can find the complete list of suggestion at https://www.doh.wa.gov/Emergencies/BePreparedBeSafe/SevereWeatherandNaturalDisasters/HotWeatherSafety.
Happy birthday to Rhonda Privitt on July 23, Chad Harris on July 24, Lottie Long Lamport and Trent Harris on July 25, David Gilchrist on July 27 and Pat Bratcher Dotson on July 29.
On our prayer list is Kristen Carlton Jones, Tim Landers, Briana Landers, Gary Hyatt, Jim Ruth, Eloise Murley, Samantha Mosier, Woodie Deming, Betty Quarles and June Davis.

Have a safe week. God bless each of you.
