Hello from Deanburg one more time!
I hope everyone is wearing those masks and keeping distance between others.
We had a second year anniversary memorial for Gina at her grave yesterday. Family and friends gathered to send up messages on some beautiful balloons. It was a sweet time. Still can not believe my sweet daughter has been in Heaven for two years, but that means she has had two years with a new body, one without pain and stress. From what the Lord tells us in the Bible, she is in the most beautiful place ever – Paradise.
Our birthdays for this week are my brother Woodie Deming, Dorothy Bratcher and Kim Ross on Aug. 19, and also on the 19th is my dear cousin James Melton, who has been in heaven three years now. Sure miss him. Also celebrating birthdays are Judy Loftis on Aug. 22 and Michelle Julian on Aug. 25. Hope you all have the best birthday ever!
Anniversary wishes to Norma and Bobby Tully on Aug. 20 and Linda and Jerry Dowdy on Aug. 22.
Our sincere condolences to Frances Harris Grimm family. She passed away Thursday night, joining her husband of 59 years in heaven. She is survived by her daughters Cindy Young and Dianne Beshires. She was one of nine children. She is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Bratcher, Ailiene Cain and Linda Blankenship. She had five brothers that preceded her in death. Her funeral will be at Smith’s South at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, with burial at Pleasant Springs United Methodist Church in Deanburg. She’s coming home! She was born and raised in Deanburg; parents were Will and Edith Hearn Harris. She was a beautiful lady inside and out and will be missed terribly.
