Hello once again. Hope you have been careful in this heat. Use extreme caution when you are out.
Happy birthday to Jerry Knipper this week. His big day is June 27. Enjoy and celebrate!
Prayer requested for Kristen Jones, Brianna Landers, Woodie Deming and Joyce Stewart. As always pray for our first responders, our law enforcement, our state, local leaders and national leaders and our great nation.
Pray for the innocent people in Ukraine and all that have had to leave their homes and ones that have lost loved ones. Just a terrible injustice to those people. I pray we will never have to face anything like this! We have been a free nation for a long time, and we have taken it for granted, but our nation is changing and not for good. There are so many people and other things working against us now, trying to destroy what our ancestors built and fought for and what so many since then have fought and lost lives to maintain.
What is going on in our nation is an atrocity. Our constitution does not mean anything to some of our leaders and citizens. Thousands of people coming in here every day illegally and what are they going to do? For one thing to cost us tax payers money and jobs. I just do not know where it will end. Pray!
Our devotion: “A Prayer for Our Nation (and Our World)” – “We live in an ever-changing world – one that, at times, just makes no sense. From natural disasters to terrorist attacks, hate crimes and unmentionable acts of violence, we get the in-depth report from every news outlet in the United States. And, we watch these special reports, trying to find some kind of reason for the craziness, some perfect explanation for why these things happen and who is responsible and how can we make a difference. And, while we will never get all the answers on this side of eternity, we know that as Christians, we are called to trust God, share His love and pray. Philippians 4:6 CSB says ‘Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.’ With this passage in mind, let us pray…
“Dear God,
“As we face these uncertain times in our nation and the world, we ask you, Lord, to dwell among us. We are comforted by the knowledge that You alone are our Savior and Lord, and the ultimate Master of life. We trust our nation to Your loving care, Lord. Send Your Spirit to touch the hearts of our nation’s leaders. Give them the wisdom to know what is right, and the courage to do it. Give us Your light and Your truth to guide us in our ways so that we may seek Your will in our lives and impact the world around us for Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen
“As a nation, let’s lift each other up with God’s Word, constantly encouraging one another to be strong and courageous, to trust in the Lord with all our hearts, and to not be afraid for He is holding us up with His victorious right hand.” From www.dayspring.com
Our quote is about Father’s Day since I did not send anything last week:
“A dad is half of you, so he knows you better than you might even know yourself. Rely on his wisdom in life.” – unknown. Show this to your children as I know they will not be reading it!
I hope every father had a great day with your family! Since our daughter has gone on to Heaven, the grandsons have taken over her role on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. Thank you my sweet grandson, Mitch and Hunter.
God Bless each and every one that reads this! I truly love you all and pray for your health and life’s needs!
