Hello from Enville! I hope you all had a great week and a happy and safe New Year. Winter has arrived. The snow is beautiful. I love it when it does not stick to the roads, keeping it safe for those having to drive to work. Some watched it falling, but here in Enville, it did not start snowing until dark. We got sleet first. I can say that I enjoyed those warm temperatures last week, so maybe it will warm back up soon. The weather in Tennessee has something for everyone – sometimes within a week!
Chester County students were out on Monday, but teachers and staff had to go. I hope all the students were ready to attend on Tuesday. After their long break, they are hopefully ready for their new schedules and the second half of the school year. I hope everyone has a good one!
Happy Birthday wishes are sent out to Brandon Ooley on Jan. 7, Kay Swafford and Harold Maness on Jan. 8 and Tasha Nichols on Jan. 12. Happy Anniversary to John and Melissa Harris Jan. 10. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for Agnes Smith, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Jimmy Robertson, Ann Pugh, Eugene Springer, Janice and Danny Keen, Mary Lee Guyon, Inez Cash, Genny Sue Martin, Shirley Hampton, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Tim Harris, Roger and Sue Henson, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military and schools, those who have lost loved ones and, as always, each other. The Enville United Methodist Church had several out sick on Sunday; we pray for each of you.
If you have news, church news, prayer requests or anything else, please call me at 608-3058, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125.
