Hello from Enville!
I hope everyone had a great week! If you had the day off for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, I hope you enjoyed it. I am sure everyone enjoyed the snow, making snow cream, playing or doing whatever you like to do. I know some were looking for snow sleds. I do not know about y’all, but I am ready for Spring!
Our Enville breakfast gang is glad to be meeting again at the Milledgeville Cafe. They were closed for a couple of weeks while getting the floor replaced. It really looks good. There is lots of work going on in Enville. At the old cafe building, the new owners are working tirelessly to get their restaurant ready to open soon. They are totally remodeling the inside with new kitchen, new restrooms and a smoking deck out back. We are anxious to have a place to eat again in Enville! I wish someone would do something with the old bank building. It looks pretty sad with grass grown up to the roof in the front windows. My wish is for someone to buy it and put a business of some kind there. It was the heart of Enville for many years. It seems that if you look inside when you go by you should see Mr. Jack O’Neal sitting at his bank window. It is so heartbreaking for our town to see it looking like this. I know it meant nothing to some folks, but to Enville, it meant everything!
Happy Birthday wishes go out to Lynda Milford on Jan. 22, Charlie Kent on Jan. 23, James Vinson on Jan. 24 and my sister, Jane Whitten on Jan. 27. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please continue prayers for Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Ashley Pugh, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Ann Pugh, Eugene Springer, Genny Sue Martin, Pat Cates, Inez Cash, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Shirley Hampton, Tim Harris, Jimmy Robertson, Roger and Sue Henson, our schools and the virus, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers and military, those who have lost loved ones and, as always, each other.
