Hello from Enville! I hope you all enjoyed your week!
First of all, I want to send a big THANK YOU to the Chester County Commission for awarding Chester County Dixie Youth the requested amount of the ARPA funds. THANK YOU to Mayor Bobby King and the City of Henderson board for their contribution of ARPA funds to Dixie Youth. The new concession stand and bathrooms are needed so badly. The park serves so many of our youth and families, as well as visiting teams and hosting of tournaments for many years to come. Thanks to Mike Neisler and everyone else who worked so hard for this great cause! Congratulations to all other recipients of funds as well.
Congratulations to our teams who advanced to World Series, playing in various states!
Our neighbors, Melinda Johnston and Kaye Ritter, along with Melissa and Emily Holder, took a trip to Eugene, Ore., to visit Dylan Johnston and Kendra Kolbet. From all the pictures, they had a wonderful time together and the scenery was gorgeous. We are glad y’all had a safe trip and are back home!
The Enville Community Club and the Enville Volunteer Fire Department will partner in our Enville-Wild Goose fundraiser. It will begin at 4 p.m. Aug. 27 with a spaghetti supper, cakewalk, silent auction and a 50/50 drawing. We hope everyone will come out for great food, fun and fellowship; bring a cake and join us!
We hope Maggie’s in Enville will be opening soon. We are all excited to be able to meet and eat with our friends and family once again!
Happy birthday wishes go to Janice Keen on July 30, Nicole Thompson and Ryan Trammell on July 31, Rebecca Ashbrook and Thomas Gilham on Aug. 2 and Harold Finley on Aug. 3. Happy anniversary to Danny and Janice Keen on July 31 and Jim and Donna Wade on Aug. 1. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Our prayer list for the week is for Lisa Bishop, Agnes Smith, Deb Finley, Florence Stublaski, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Amanda Johnson, Jimmy Robertson, Ashley Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Rick Ooley, Ann Pugh, Emily Freeman, Larry Lambert, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Robert and Linda Johnson, Tim Harris, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, those affected by COVID, those who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military and, as always, each other. If you have someone to add to the prayer list, just let me know. Call 608-3058, or to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125. Remember to Love your neighbor as yourself. You ask, “Who is my neighbor?” Anyone who is in need is your neighbor! Do unto others as you have them do unto you!
Have a blessed week everyone.
