Hello from Enville! I hope everyone is having a great week. Fall is certainly in the air. Monday was pretty good with the temperature at 63 degrees, but it got down to winter-like temperatures Monday night for the next three nights, freezing and below, but it will rebound and get warmer as the week goes on!
School is back in session, and I am sure it was hard for the kiddos to get up early again; maybe they are adjusting well.
Halloween is just around the corner. There are lots of activities taking place on Oct. 29. Haunted houses are already open for all those who are brave enough to go!
On Nov. 5, the Enville Volunteer Fire Department will have a fish fry/chicken strip dinner and cakewalk fundraiser at the Enville Community Center. Serving starts at 4 p.m. Come out and support a great cause!
Happy birthday wishes go to Ann Hollin on Oct. 21, Billy Canaday on Oct. 22, Wes Hutcherson on Oct. 23 and Phyllis Russom, Noah Keen and Larry Gilbert on Oct. 26. Happy Anniversary to Mike and Judy Pugh on Oct. 24. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for Deb Finley, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Nicole Thompson, Agnes Smith, Linda and Robert Johnson, Carolyn Wright, Florence Stublaski, Ashley Pugh, Mary Lee Guyon, Ann Pugh, Emily Freeman, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Loretta Plunk, Rick Ooley, Larry and Priscilla Gilbert, Danny and Janice Keen, Tim Harris, Jimmy Robertson, Kathy Emerson, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, those who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, school bus transportation and, as always, each other.
If you have news or someone to add to the prayer list, call me at 608-3058, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125. Smile and be kind to everyone you meet. That just might brighten someone’s day!
Have a blessed week everyone!
