Hello from Enville! I hope you all are having a great week! The weather is gorgeous as I write this, but by the time you read this, we will have rain, and for the weekend, the cooler temperatures are going to creep back in on us. On a brighter note, Daylight Savings Time begins at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 12, so before you go to bed on Saturday night, run your clock up one hour (spring forward) so you will not be late for church or whatever you have planned. I absolutely love this time. We like it staying daylight later in the evening so we can get out and do yard work or gardening. Then, March 17 is St. Patrick’s Day. I am giving you heads up to wear your green! On March 20, spring begins; it is my favorite time of year. March is so good to us!
The Enville Volunteer Fire Department thanks everyone who came out in support of their fundraiser on Saturday. Thanks to all volunteers and those who donated cakes. You are appreciated!
We want to congratulate Sydney Cherry, daughter of Jason and Brandy Cherry. Sydney has been involved in the agriculture and cattle industries her entire life. She is the lone West Tennessee Youth Ambassador this year from Chester County. We are very proud of our Enville youth. Congratulations, Sydney!
We had several Sandford Hill Baptist Church students and chaperones who attended the YEC in Bartlett this past weekend. Our grandchildren and daughter were part of this. We are very proud of our youth at SHBC. There were many Baptist churches represented there. We hope everyone received a blessing!
Happy birthday wishes go to Campbell Grisham on March 10 and Danny Bishop on March 14. We hope y’all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for the family of James Wilkerson and continue prayers for Lisa Bishop, Tera O’Neal, Mary Lee Guyon, Agnes Smith, Linda and Robert Johnson, Janice and Danny Keen, Harold and Janice Maness, Florence Stublaski, Ashley Pugh, Ann Pugh, Nicole Thompson,
Emily Freeman,Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Rick Ooley, Mike Pugh, Tim Harris, James Vinson, Loretta Plunk, Kathy Emerson, Dot Smith, Joann Fowler, Jimmy Robertson, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, all those who have lost loved ones, the ones with COVID and other illnesses and, as always, each other!
If you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125, or if you have news, church activities, fire department fundraisers or someone to add to the prayer list, call me at 608-3058. Have a blessed week everyone!
