Hello from Enville! I hope you all are having a wonderful week. The weather is being good to us. We have had several days with no rain, and the sunshine was nice. We have two hummingbirds so far, and we have been able to sit outside a few mornings and drink our coffee and watch them.
Administrative Professionals Day is next week, April 26. This day recognizes and celebrates the work of secretaries, administrative assistants and other office professionals for their contributions to the workplace. It is always observed on the Wednesday of Administrative Professionals Week. Some employers will take this opportunity to appreciate their office personnel, as well as all their employees.
Congratulations to Jake Gray and Olivia Daniel on the arrival of their beautiful baby girl. She is the granddaughter of Kim Alexander, great-granddaughter of Johnny and Martha Alexander and great-great-granddaughter of Mary Lee Guyon.
The Enville Volunteer Fire Department will have their annual barbeque fundraiser beginning at 10 a.m. on May 13. They are pre-selling tickets for ribs only. To order, please see any firefighter. The community center committee will have a bake sale. They will take donations of baked goods.
Milledgeville will have their annual Heritage Day on April 29. The fire department will have barbeque, and there will be vendors, old car and tractor displays. We always enjoy the fried pies!
Happy birthday wishes go to Donna Wade and Jerry Freeman on. April 25, Jake Gray on April 26 and J.P. Glover on April 27. Happy anniversary wishes go to Harold and Janice Maness and Carl and Teisha Nichols on April 22 and Gerald and Phyllis Russom on April 25. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please continue prayers for Lisa Bishop, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Robert and Linda Johnson, Ann Pugh, Emily Freeman, Ashley Pugh, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Loretta Plunk, Kathy Emerson, Joann Fowler, Dot Smith, Jimmy Robertson, James Vinson, Rick Ooley, Mike Pugh, Tim Harris, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, those who have lost loved ones, those recovering from the tornadoes and, as always, each other.
