Hello from Enville. I hope everyone had a great week, and I hope all the mothers enjoyed their special day on Sunday.
Armed Forces Day is May 16. It is a holiday observed in some areas of the United States to honor all branches of the armed forces. It is celebrated each year on third Saturday in May.
Armed Forces Day honors those currently serving, while Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans and Memorial Day honors those who have died while in military service. If you know someone currently serving, be sure to thank them!
There were several folks out for decorations at Woodlawn, Mars Hill and Milledgeville cemeteries on Sunday. All the flowers were beautiful, and we were glad to see everyone. Please donate where you have loved ones buried for the upkeep of the cemetery.
Please be sure to fill out your census forms. It is very important to be counted; you can do it online or by mail. It is quick and simple and helps your town and county.
Happy birthday wishes go to Jennifer Gibbs on May 16, Hunter Harwell on May 20 and Casey O’Neal and Rhonda Pickens morning May 21. Happy anniversary to Steven and Jade Grisham on May 21. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
