Hello from Enville!
I hope you all had a great week. The temperatures have been hot, but I think as this week progresses it might be a few degrees cooler. That is very welcoming.
I wish we could get some rain here in Enville; some areas have had showers, but here at our house, we have not had any in a long while. We have been watering our garden, but I think it is too late for our squash and green beans. Hopefully, our peas will make it.
Another month is upon us. Where has July gone? This year is moving along way too fast. School has been pushed back to Aug. 10. Our grand kids are ready to go. They have all their supplies and school clothes ready and are anxious to see their friends. I think they have been out too long! Please continue prayers for our Chester County School Board for the decisions they have to make concerning the safety of our children and their own as well as faculty. We appreciate you all very much!
The Enville Community Club will meet on Aug. 4 at the community center. If you are interested in your community, you are welcome to come visit and hopefully join us in making it a better place to live. The Enville Volunteer Fire Department meets on the second and fourth Tuesday nights each month. If interested in volunteering, you are welcome. The Enville town board meets on the third Tuesday night each month. Anyone in the community is welcome to attend these meetings.
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Nicole Thompson on July 31, Rebecca Ashbrook and Thomas Gilham on Aug. 2, Harold Finley on Aug. 3 and Wanda Finley on Aug. 6. Happy Anniversary to Danny and Janice Keen on July 31 and Jim and Donna Wade on Aug. 1. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Prayer concerns this week are for Jack and Tera O’Neal, Jean Crowell, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Christy Phillips, Jo Marie Holmes, Imogene Hollin, Inez Cash, Lisa Bishop, Genny Sue Martin, Linda Phillips, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Janice Keen, Dean Hutcherson, Harold and Janice Maness, Dennis Harwell, Ann Vanhoose, Steve Denbow, Kristen Daniel and family, Tim Harris, Wayne Bethune, those who have lost loved ones, those affected by COVID-19, our military, firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, schools and healthcare workers and, as always, each other. If you have news to share, call me at 688-5129, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125.
Have a blessed week everyone!
