Hello from Enville. I hope everyone had a great week!
Our community news columns were duplicated last week, so maybe I can get two in one this week. August is here, and so is school. I hope our students are ready to learn; some go to new schools with new teachers and meet new friends. This year will be an adjustment for everyone, but it will be a great year! We pray for all our schools, students, teachers, faculty, bus drivers and anyone who is associated with it in any way. We had our Blessing of the Backpacks service at Sanford Hill on Sunday where each backpack and student were prayed over, and a bible verse was attached to each backpack to go to school with them every day. Our school system and surrounding schools were prayed for also. It is always a blessed service.
Our garden is about gone due to dry and hot weather, but our yard is still growing and our humming birds are still swarming. We have around 20. I can hardly keep the feeders filled. We sit outside every morning and watch them. We are really going to miss them when they leave.
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Dylan Johnston on Aug. 12, Lee Ann O’Neal and Mike Brewer on Aug. 14 and Christopher Canaday on Aug. 16.
Happy Anniversary to Don and Frances Willis on Aug. 17. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please continue to pray for the Nathan Johnson family and also for Jean Crowell, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Christy Phillips, Linda Phillips, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Janice Keen, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Lisa Bishop, Jo Marie Holmes, Brother Bill Evans, Dean Hutcherson, Dennis Harwell, Ann Vanhoose, Kristen Daniel, Tim Harris, Charlie Kent, Annie Massengill, Harold and Frankie Finley, Imogene Hollin, Inez Cash, Genny Sue Martin, Wayne Bethune, those who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, healthcare workers, military, law and enforcement and, as always, each other.
If you have news, call me at 688-5129, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125.
Have a blessed week everyone!
