Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week! I hope all grandparents had a good Grandparents Day with either a visit or a call. Fall is in the air; the mornings are cooler, and we have had lower humidity for the last few days. I know everyone was ready for that. We also had a lot of rain over the weekend. Our rain reporter, Tim Hampton, said he had four inches in his rain gauge. He keeps us informed on that. Thanks, Tim!
Congratulations to Jason and Nancy Philyaw from Enville on the birth of their baby girl, Hannah Leigh. She was born on Sept. 10 and weighed six pounds, nine ounces.
Autumn begins on Tuesday, Sept. 22. I love this time of year. I have already started seeing a few fall decorations adorning front porches and yards. Some folks are selling beautiful mums of all colors. I do not have anything done yet, but I will do that soon. We still have a few hummingbirds. I think we counted five the past few mornings. I know we are not having to fill the feeders nearly as much. They will be leaving us soon, and we will miss them!
Happy birthday wishes go to Madison Hatch and Carrie Timmer on Sept. 18, James G. Vinson on Sept. 21, and Jo Martin and Tim Harris on Sept. 22. Hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for the family of Justin Finley and for Jean Crowell, Linda Phillips, Jo Martin, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice Keen, Florence Stublaski, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Doris Weeks, Janet Scott, Dean Hutcherson, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Dennis Harwell, Jo Marie Holmes, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Inez Cash, Imogene Hollin, Dwayne and Nona Seaton, Dwayne Seaton, Jr., Brother Bill Evans, Kristen Daniel, Tim Harris, Ann Vanhoose, Genny Sue Martin, Wayne Bethune, everyone affected by the virus, those in the paths of the hurricanes, our firefighters, first responders, and medical workers and, as always, each other.
