Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week. Well, half of December is gone, and Christmas is next week. It is going by so quickly, and I am whittling down my Christmas shopping. I hope you all are also. Winter begins on Dec. 21, and there is a wintery mix in the forecast this week, not to amount to anything though. We really enjoyed the Henderson Christmas Parade. It was very good!
Enville had some misfortune last week. A stolen truck was set on fire in Harold Finley’s yard. There was a huge explosion that awoke everyone on that end of town. Earlier the same night, someone had stolen Charlie Kent’s red Ford truck out of his locked shop, but thanks to the Chester County Sherriff’s Department and investigators, it was recovered in Waterloo, Ala. It had been damaged and painted silver with a paint brush or roller. It is so sad to see it because it was a beautiful truck. Everyone be cautious and aware of your surroundings and watch out for our neighbors. Thanks again to our law enforcement and investigators for their work and commitment for us and our county!
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Patrick Weatherington on Dec. 19, Isabella Swafford on Dec. 21, Cooper Lutz on Dec. 22 and Corey Finley and Ron Maness on Dec. 23. Happy Anniversary to James and Debbie Vinson on Dec. 21 and Danny and Kay Swafford on Dec. 24. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Jean Crowell, Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Lisa Bishop, Dean Hutcherson, Amanda Johnson, Inez Cash, Genny Sue Martin, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Jo Marie Holmes, Loretta Plunk, Paulette Pugh, Jimmy Robertson, Robert Smith, Tim Harris, Wayne Bethune, Dwayne Seaton, Jr., Linda and Robert Johnson, Kristen Daniel, those affected by the virus, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement and healthcare workers, our schools, those who are shut in because of the virus, those who have lost loved ones and, as always, each other.
If you have news, call me at 688-5129, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125.
Have a blessed week everyone!
