Hello from Enville!
I hope everyone had a blessed week and Christmas. It was different for families this year with everything going on. So many sick and so many loved ones lost. We pray for a better 2021. The new year is upon us, and I hope that everyone has a safe New Year’s Eve and gets to enjoy the New Year’s Day traditional meal. Ours is hog jowl, black eyed peas, cooked cabbage, turnip greens, cornbread and onion. No need for dessert. We are always too stuffed for it. We kinda “pig out” that day!
I have begun taking down Christmas decorations inside. I do not have them packed up yet. Maybe we will start on the outside soon. The guys did such a good job putting them up. They were beautiful, and we really enjoyed them.
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Mary Jo Hughes on Jan. 1, Tammy Austin and Jackie Martin on Jan. 3, Gail Williamson on Jan. 4 and Brandon Ooley on Jan. 7.
Happy Anniversary to Tom and Rae Harwell on Jan. 1 and Tommy and Linda Wade on Jan. 6. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for the families of Billy Dickson, Haley Stanfill, Dennis Young and Hunter Pittman. Continue prayers for Jean Crowell, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Jo Marie Holmes, Danny and Janice Keen, Agnes Smith, Robert Smith, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Dean Hutcherson, Inez Cash, Genny Sue Martin, Paulette Pugh, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Mary Lee Guyon, Jimmy Robertson, Tim Harris, Frankie Finley (taking therapy), Loretta Plunk, Billy and Joan Massey (my sister and brother-in-law) who both have COVID, Wayne Bethune, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement and healthcare workers, those who have lost loved ones, our military and, as always, each other. If you have news to share, call me at my new number 608-3058, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125.
Have a happy and blessed new year everyone!
