Hello from Enville!
I hope everyone had a great week. The weather is gorgeous. I have noticed some leaves changing colors and lots of fall and Halloween decorations in yards and porches.
Hopefully, everyone is enjoying their Fall Break from school. Many are traveling, or some may be enjoying their time at home with family. I hope all federal employees enjoyed their Columbus Day off work. National Boss’s Day is Friday, Oct. 15. It is a day to appreciate and thank your boss. I had the best boss anyone could ever have on my last job. He truly loved and cared for his employees, and that makes for a great workplace.
The Enville Community Club had their meeting last week. Our county mayor, Barry Hutcherson, was our speaker. He gave an update on great things happening in our county. Our Enville mayor, Melinda Johnston, presented a Hero plaque to Rick Ooley for his brave act in the community. We had several visitors in attendance and invite you back anytime.
Mike Frank wants to extend a big “Thank You” to Stan and Brian O’Neal for coming to his rescue to help save a cow and calf. Without their help, he would have probably lost both. It is nice to have good neighbors to call on when in need.
Happy birthday wishes go to Judy Pugh Oct. 15, Debbie Bishop and Robert Smith on Oct. 16, Madison O’Neal and Sherry Webb on Oct. 17, Deb Finley on Oct. 20 and Ann Hollin and Collin Essary on Oct. 21. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please continue prayers for Agnes Smith, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Gail Durbin, Shirley Hampton, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Roy Middleton, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Eugene Springer, Alice Starnes, Jo Marie Holmes, Linda and Robert Johnson, Tim Harris, Jimmy Robertson, Genny Sue Martin, Mitch Maness, Roger Henson, those traveling, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers and military, our schools and school board, those who have lost loved ones and, as always, each other.
If you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125, or if you have news to share, call me at 608-3058.
Have a blessed week everyone!
