Hello from Enville! I hope everyone had a great week! I think there may have been some frost on the pumpkins a morning or two lately. You can tell it is fall by the chilly mornings and warm afternoons.
There are a few more football games left for this season, so we will need to dress warmly and have the blankets handy! Friday night is homecoming. This is the big game, so I hope the weather cooperates. I hope everyone enjoyed their Fall Break. I saw a lot of pictures of folks doing all different kinds of things in various places, some in the mountains, some at the beach and everywhere in between. I hope the kiddos are getting back into the learning mode, getting back to going to bed early and waking up early. This goes for the staff as well. It is hard to believe that the first nine-weeks is over and the second has begun. I hope everyone has a good one with good grades! Halloween is on Sunday this year. I am already seeing there will be Trick or Treating on Saturday evening at Gene Record Park. Many businesses and churches will be set up for handing out candy. On Sunday evening some churches will be set up for Trick or Treaters. Sanford Hill Baptist Church is one of them. It will be inside and safe for the children. The Enville community will NOT be having Trick or Treat at the community center this year.
The Enville Community Club will have a short Veterans program at their Nov. 2 meeting. There will be a potluck meal.
Enville sends out Happy Birthday wishes to Billy Canaday on Oct. 22, Wes Hutcherson and Alex Bates on Oct. 23, Phyllis Russom, Noah Keen and Larry Gilbert on Oct. 26 and Tanya Harwell on Oct. 28. Happy Anniversary to Mike and Judy Pugh on Oct. 24. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please continue prayers for Deb Finley, Casey Pratt, Florence Stublaski, Doris Weeks, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Danny and Janice Keen, Eugene Springer, Mary Lee Guyon, Agnes Smith, Linda and Robert Johnson, Roy Middleton, Jo Marie Holmes, Gail Durbin, Kathy Emerson, Shirley Hampton, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Tim Harris, Jimmy Robertson, Alice Starnes, Genny Sue Martin, Roger Henson, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military, schools and school board, those who have lost loved ones and, as always, each other.
If you want to rent the community center, call Pat at 688-5125, or if you have news, birthdays or prayer requests, call me at 608-3058.
Have a blessed week everyone!
