Hello to my family and friends. It is a blessing to be with you one more day. For this is the day the Lord has made! Let us rejoice and be GLAD in it!
It is here, the first day of “spring”! I am so glad, but where is the warm weather? You know what? I will not complain! We could be like some of the other states such as California with flooding rain and mountain snow or Texas and Chicago just to name a few. Thank you, Lord, for the cold weather we are having here in Tennessee! Next week, the weather will be warmer for us!
Parents, get ready because next week is Spring Break for our children here in Chester County. It was always a joy for our family to have any kind of break with our children. We went camping, fishing and riding bikes, played sports and had lots of family competitions. We had a ball! Time goes by so fast; enjoy your children while you can. One day you will wake up in your 60s, wondering where the time went; all your children will be grown.
As you know this is Women’s History month, and there is a lady here in Chester County that works for all of us. Her job can be very stressful at times but rewarding. Her job is to make sure to purge and revise Poll Books. One of the most important duties of Election Commissions is maintaining accurate voter rolls and poll books. She and her staff conduct voter registration drives. She is fair to all and will help anyone who needs it. By now you know who I am putting in the spotlight! Thank you, Kathy Vest, for your hard work as the Chester County Election Administrator. The County just wanted to say how much we appreciate all of the hard work you do for the community! Keep up the great work! If you are not a registered voter or you may need to update your personal information, go see Kathy. I know she will be able to help you.
The City’s deepest condolences go out to all the families that have lost a loved one this month. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
On the prayer list this week: the Wilson family, the Crooms family, our children while on spring break, teachers, our families and the men and women who are serving our country. Please say a SPECIAL prayer for our United States.
