Hello to everyone! It is me again, giving God the praise to be here with you one more week. First things first, thank you, Lord, for another month and a new day – one that we have never seen before. I hope that you had a great week and that you will enjoy your Fourth of July. For my husband and I, July 3, 1987 is a very special day. This is the day the Lord blessed us with our fourth child, LaWanna. Her birthday is a blessing to us because this is another year the Lord has allowed her to be with us. Our daughter LaWanna is a survivor from cancer! She will be 33 and is doing great! To God be the Glory! My family and I will always give the Lord praise for healing her body and enjoy the time we have together as a family. Today is a new day, I hope you take some time out of your day and tell your family how much you love them because tomorrow never comes.
On the 4th some will also celebrate the 244 birthday for America. As you know COVID-19 can’t stop the July Fourth holiday. The outbreaks have led to the cancellation of many traditional events. But how can you have fun and stay safe at the same time? Here are a few things you can do with your family; Stay home, (if you go out wear your mask)grill out, listen to live music (this is you and the family making sweet music together), enjoy family friendly activities, get in the car go to your local Nursing Home or Assistant Living, standing outside and waving and singing. You will be surprise how much they will enjoy something so small.
This week I talk with a loving lady by the name of Anita Hart. Her kind words and encouragement helped me so much on that day. It was on a day that I was thinking about my mother and I was sad. It was on the same day I found a text see had text me back in April. So I called her to let her know I just read her text and I want to know how her mother was doing.I found out that her mother Ms. June Smith is a resident in a Dyersburg Assisted Living Center and she is doing as well as can be with this CONVID-19. They talkedmultiple times daily, often over a cell phone looking thru a closed window. Because her mom’s vision is aging, their nightly “bedtime stories” consist of reading the Independent to her mom over the phone. For we know that we cannot go and visit like we use to. But we can do this! So let send Ms. June Smith a card or two to let her know the people here in the City of Henderson is thinking about her and we love her!The address is Dyersburg Assisted Living Center, 398 Beaver Creek Cove, Dyersburg TN 38024.Thank you Anita Hart for been a loving person and daughter! Ms. June you have a wonderful daughter.
