 Hello to everyone!
It is good to be here with you one more time. For this is the day the Lord has made, so let us be happy in it and take one day at a time. In between the rain drops and increasing numbers on the Covid-19, some still found a way to grill out with family and enjoyed fireworks at home.
You know thousands of people believe that coronavirus is a hoax. People have died because of complications associated with the virus. It is one’s choice to wear a mask or not. It is better to be safe than sorry. For me and my house, we are wearing the mask everywhere we go.
This week will be a very busy week for SWHRA Head Start department. It was the first week back for the assistant managers, area managers, site managers and family case managers from their six week break. They are taking applications for three- and four-year-old children for the 2020/2021 school year. Child must be three or four years old by Aug. 15, 2020. For more information, call 989-5192 or 989-5111. The teaching staff will return to centers on Monday, July 27. The first day of 2020-2021 school year will be Monday, Aug. 17.
The BIG Back to School Bash is from 8:30-11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, at Chester County Middle School. If your child needs school supplies, a backpack or school uniforms for Chester County students, the place to be is Chester County Middle school. Hope to see you there. If you have school uniforms that are in good condition, please bring them with you to donate. Contact Pastor Rick Seaton, CAB President, 731-695-3422, for more information.
Just a reminder to please complete your Census and encourage others to fill it out, too! Completing the census is important. Decisions about how billions of dollars in federal funds flow into our communities each year for the next 10 years for critical services are made with the information provided in the Census. You can complete the census online at 2020Census.gov, by phone or by mail. Participation is so important. Your response and encouragement for others to participate truly matters. Health clinics, fire departments, schools and even roads and highways – the census can shape these and other important aspects of our community. It truly only takes a few moments to complete online or by mail. It took me about five-six minutes to complete for the household. If you need help please, call me 731-608-6132.
On the birthday list Shelly Wynn, 7/8; Cristella Brown, 7/10; Takiyah Burton, 7/11; and Linda Paterson, 7/12. May the Lord bless you with many more!
On our prayer request list this week, we will continue to pray for the sick and shut-ins, our children, teachers and families, the men and women who are serving our country and the incarcerated. Remember to patronize with our local businesses here in town; let us try to support our own as much as we can.
If you live in the City of Henderson and have news about your families, birthdays, anniversaries, announcements or things happening in the City, I need to hear from you. Text me at 608-6132 or you may email me at gloria__holiday@msn.com.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
