Hello to everyone! I hope you had a great week. For me and my house, this was one of the best weekends ever. Why? Because I just love being with my family! We laugh, we play, we have meals together, we talk, we disagree and we cry. LaWanna makes sure we exercise together, but most of all, we love each other as a family because we know this is the day the Lord has made! We will rejoice and be glad in it!
I hope all of you on fall break are enjoying this recess because we will be back with a new attitude (hopefully a good one) on Oct. 19 and will be counting down the days until Thanksgiving.
Friday, Oct. 16, is Boss’s Day! It has traditionally been a day for employees to thank their bosses for being kind and fair throughout the year. If you have a boss like that, let them know how much you appreciate them.
Question for today: have you ever thought about how hard it is to teach a virtual class. Teachers are embracing new techniques to keep students engaged as they learn virtually. Some teachers I have talked with said, “It is hard, but we are getting it done.” One of the biggest things they worry about is how well students understand the material, not how well they can access the material. We have great teachers and parents that are working together to make sure the students are getting what he or she needs to be successful while we are in this pandemic.
Do not forget about The Cham”BOO” Bash Fun Run sponsored by Aeneas powered by STEMC on Oct. 29. This is a fun event for the entire family! The event begins at 6 p.m. at Gene Record Park. As part of the festivities, they will have a costume contest for the Fun Run participants! First place prizes will be given in the following categories: best family costume, best pet costume, best boy and girl costume age six and under, best boy and girl costume age seven-12, best adult costume male and female. Participants that register before Friday, Oct. 16, will receive a free t-shirt! Please note that age three and under are free but will not receive a t-shirt! Adult (ages 16 and over) are $25, child (ages 15 and under) are $15 and ages three and under are free with no t-shirt. Make checks to Henderson|Chester County Chamber of Commerce and mail to P.O.
