Hello to the people of Chester County everywhere. It is good to be with you today! I am excited the Lord has allowed us to be together one more time. For this is the day the Lord has made, so why not just rejoice and be glad in it? Thank you for taking time out to read the Chester County Independent. No, it is not USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Newsday, The Washington Post, Star Tribune or The Jackson Sun just to name a few. Our small town paper is read by many around the world. So to the staff of the Independent, keep up the great work! The City of Henderson appreciates you! Great JOB! We enjoy reading our newspaper.
This week, we are going to give honor where honor is due to a young woman who has been with us for many years in our community. As a little girl growing up, I can remember her wearing some of the most beautiful hats to church along with the matching dress and shoes! She was a very classic lady and still is one! I and so many others often reflect on all the amazing work she has performed and all the people she has impacted through her 90 years on this earth. On her 90th birthday, we wish that you continue to enjoy all the beauty life has to offer, as someone as special as you only deserves the best out of life. The Queen that we are talking about is Mrs. Mable Campbell! She is the wife of the late Mr. Eddie Campbell, Sr., mother of the following children: Juanita, Geneva, Eddie, Jr. JoAnn, Lovies, Karen and Carol. Because of COVID, the children have planned a drive-by-celebration at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 25, at the Chester Nursing Home, 412 Juanita Dr. Henderson, TN 38340. The family is inviting all of Mrs. Campbell friends and loved ones to come by to help them celebrate their mother’s birthday! To the rock of the family, Happy 90th Birthday! May you continue to keep this family grounded for many more fun filled years to come! Hope to see you there! If you cannot make it to the drive-by, please mail her a card to the address above.
On the prayer list this week: OUR UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! Remember to patronize with our local businesses here in town; let us try to support our own as much as we can
