Hello to everyone! It is me again, giving God the praise to be here with you one more week. First things first, thank you, Lord, for another month and a new day, one that we have never seen before. I hope you had a great week and that you enjoyed your Fourth of July as we celebrated the 245 birthday for America. Sorry that I did not have anything for you last week. This week, it will be short and sweet. My husband and I were out of town. We went to Orlando, Fla., and spent some time with our son and his wife. We had a wonderful time at Disney World. It was very hot! But, it was a blessed opportunity to spend some quality time with our family. The city would like to say congratulations to Frank Holiday, Jr. and his wife Raffi. They are expecting a little bundle of joy. We pray the baby will be healthy and well.
To Jackie Arnold Brown and family, it deeply saddened me to hear of your family member passing. Angela Carter was a sister, mother, auntie and a friend to everyone; she was such a great inspiration to many. Our condolences go out to the family.
Here are some very special Happy Birthday wishes from a very special lady, Mrs. Gritie Arnold, to her family. Let’s start with a very special man in her life – her husband Mr. James Arnold. He will be 85 years young on July 11. Mr. Earvin Arnold, her brother-in-law, celebrates his birthday on July 27; he will be 75 years young. Her son Mr. Tobias Arnold’s birthday is on July 24. He will be 51 years old. Her two granddaughters also have birthdays this month – Sidney Arnold on July 21 (she will be five years old) and Brittany Johnson on July 10 (she will be 22 years old), and her great-granddaughter Lydia Arnold turns 11 years old on July 29.Wait! I am not finished with the Arnold family. There is one more. Mrs. Gritie, you are such a loving sweet person. Thank you for allowing me to share some great memories I had about my mother and father. The city is wishing you a very happy birthday on July 19; this lovely lady will be 84 years young.
