Hello to everyone!
First things first, let us thank the Lord for allowing us to see another week! For this is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it! I hope you had a great week. It is a blessing to be a part of your life one more time. I would like to say, “THANK YOU,” for taking time out to read the Chester County Independent. It may not be the biggest or the best, but it is ours so be thankful for it. It is our little hometown newspaper that keeps us notified about what is happening in the surrounding area. Keep up the great work.
Last week was a very hard week for the family. That is why I did not have a column. This week is not any better. My husband’s, Pastor Frank Holiday, Sr., mother passed on Saturday, Aug. 21. So we are asking for your prayers. I do not have much news for the city. Just did not want to go another week without making contact to all of my friends and loved ones that I love so much.
This is just for you. I am very saddened about all of the deaths I have heard about because of COVID-19. So from me to you, please be safe and take all precautions. I heard on the news that FDA has approved the Pfizer vaccine. Maybe this will change some people’s minds about getting the vaccination. Wherever you decide to do, just be wise about your choices.
School has officially started for Freed-Hardeman University students. The City of Henderson would like to welcome all you to the City of Henderson. Have a blessed school year.
No one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind, but take comfort in knowing that she is now resting in Paradise. Our deepest condolences go to the family of Mrs. Henrietta Holiday our prayers are with you.
Continue to pray for all bereaved families everywhere. I hope everyone will have a safe and happy week. Have fun and be safe.
Remember to patronize with our local businesses here in town; let us try to support our own as much as we can.
If you live in the City of Henderson and have news about your families, birthdays, anniversaries, announcements or things happening in the City, I need to hear from you. Call me at 608-6132 and leave your message, or you may email me at gloria__holiday@msn.com.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
